ALPENA — Firefighters helped promote bicycle safety at the Alpena Public Safety Building today.

Partnering with MidMichigan to protect bicyclists, the Alpena Fire Department volunteered its fire truck bays as a drive-through site for the annual helmet sale, held for the past several years in the hospital lobby.
