One more infected; four more recovered from COVID-19

ALPENA – Health Department officials today reported that one more Alcona County resident has been infected with coronavirus and four more Alpena County residents have recovered.

That brings the total number of Northeast Michigan residents infected with COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, to 117, including 92 infected Alpena County residents, 11 Presque Isle County residents, nine Alcona County residents and five Montmorency County residents.

A total of 55 Northeast Michigan residents have recovered, including 44 Alpena County residents, six Presque Isle County residents, three Montmorency County residents, and two Alcona County residents.

No new deaths were reported today by District Health Departments No. 2 and 4. Nine Alpena County residents and one Alcona County resident have died while infected with COVID-19.

Also today, the State of Michigan reported 69 Michigan residents died while infected with COVID-19 and 501 new cases, bringing the total number of infected residents to 53,510 and state residents who died while infected with the virus to 53,510.
