Five more recovered from COVID

ALPENA — Five more people have recovered from COVID-19, the sickness caused by the coronavirus, local health officials reported today.

Two more Alpena County residents have recovered — defined as living 30 days after the onset of symptoms or testing positive — for a total of 46. In Presque Isle County, recoveries total eight after two more were reported today, and one more recovery in a Montmorency County resident brought that county to four. In Alcona County, two people have recovered.

One new Alpena County resident and one Alcona County resident tested positive, officials said today.

Test totals:

Positive tests: Alpena County, 93; Presque Isle County, 11; Alcona County, 10; Montmorency County, 5.

Probable positives: Alpena County, 8; Alcona County, 3.

Negative tests: Alpena County, 554; Alcona County, 139; Montmorency County, 130; Presque Isle County, 150.

Pending tests: Alpena County, 1; Alcona County, 1; Montmorency County, 2; Presque Isle County, 4.

Deaths while a patient is infected with COVID-19: Alpena County, 9; Alcona County, 1.

According to state data, 25 residents of MediLodge of Alpena are infected. Statewide positive tests total 53,913, with 403 positive tests added today, and , with 5,158 have died, up by 29 since yesterday.
