ONAWAY — Presque Isle Electric and Gas Co-op is asking customers to practice “social distancing” when the utility’s employees visit their homes.

Office personnel are calling customers prior to appointments to confirm no one in their household has recently been sick or traveled abroad.

Additionally, PIE&G President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Sobek is asking customers refrain from interpersonal interactions with employees who may be working near homes or businesses.

Public health officials have advised people to stay six feet apart to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
