Health department urges self-quarantine after Colorado trips, cruise ships

District Health Department No. 4 is asking those who have recently traveled to certain Colorado counties or traveled on certain cruise ships to self-quarantine for 14 days, according to a Health Department news release.

Those who visited Eagle, Summit, Pitkin, and Gunnison counties in Colorado within the past week are asked to self-quarantine whether or not they are experiencing symptoms.

DHD No. 4 was alerted by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Safety that there has been an extensive spread of coronavirus in mountain resort communities.

Health Department officials have also been notified passengers of multiple cruise ships had been diagnosed with coronavirus after demembarking the ship. Those cruises include:

* Azamara Quest – trip departing Feb. 10 and any following departures.

* Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas – trip departing Feb. 29 and any following departures

* MSC Meraviglia – trip departing March 1 and any following departures

* Norwegian Bliss – trip departing March 1 and any following departures

* Costa Luminosa – trip departing March 5 and any following departures

* Celebrity Summit – trip departing March 7 and any following departures

In addition to self-quarantining, recent travelers should monitor for coronavirus symptoms, such as a cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, runny nose, or a fever.

Contact your health care provider or seek emergent care if you become ill or experience severe symptoms.
