Alpena Public Schools to distribute meals starting Tuesday
ALPENA — Alpena Public Schools will begin distribution of free meals to all kids younger than 18 starting Tuesday.
The district said all pickup locations and bus stops are available for any child 18 and younger, as well as any special education student ages 26 and younger. Each day a person picks up food, it will include breakfast and lunch for multiple days.
If children have food allergies and are in need of food assistance, they are advised to leave a message on the Food Hotline 989-358-5019.
The food pick up locations, times, and dates are listed as the following:
March 17, 19, 24, 26, from noon to 2 p.m.
Besser Elementary
375 Wilson St., Alpena
Ella White Elementary
201 N. Ripley Boulevard, Alpena
Hinks Elementary
7667 U.S.-23, Alpena
Lincoln Elementary
309 W. Lake St., Alpena
Sanborn Elementary

Food on March 17, 19, 24, 26 will be delivered by school bus to the typical bus stops for grades six to 12 on a three-hour delay from the standard morning pickup time.
March 18, 20, 23, 25, 27 from noon to 2 p.m.
Alpena High School
3303 S. Third St., Alpena
Food on March 18, 20, 23, 25, 27 will be delivered by school bus to the typical pre-K to grade five bus stops on a three-hour delay from the standard morning pick up time.
