A man wanted in Alcona County since October 2017 was arrested in Arkansas Wednesday, the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office reported.

John Clifford Tesmer, who failed to appear for sentencing in Alcona County’s 23rd Circuit Court, was facing a likely prison sentence resulting from larceny and receiving and concealing stolen property in 2017.

He will be extradited back to Alcona County after he answers for charges on new crimes that he allegedly committed in Arkansas.

Tesmer was out on bond with an electronic monitoring system when he failed to appear in court in Harrisville in 2017.
