One person was transported to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Chisholm Street at around 5 p.m. Thursday. Andrew Smith, officer with the Alpena Police Department, said a Chevy ran a red light while going south on 9th Avenue and hit a Nissan that was going east on Chisholm. Smith said the person was transported as a precaution and he didn’t know the extent of the person’s injuries.
