Road commissions in Northeast Michigan have begun to issue spring weight restrictions.

In Alpena County, restrictions will be imposed on most primary and local roads beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Roads classified as all-season and therefore without weight restrictions include:

∫ Hamilton Road, from U.S.-23 to French Road and U.S.-23 to Wessel Road

∫ Wessel Road, from Hamilton Road to the Alpena city limits,

∫ Herron Road, from M-32 to Werth Road

∫ French Road, from Hamilton Road to Lacomb Road

∫ Lacomb Road, from Schrader Road to Long Lake Road

∫ Werth Road, from U.S.-23 to Piper Road and from Herron Road to M-65

∫ Piper Road, from Werth Road to 0.66 miles south and from U.S.-23 to 0.53 miles north

∫ Alpena County Regional Airport to M-32

∫ Long Lake Road, from Hamilton Road to the city limits

∫ Bagley Street, from M-32 to Long Rapids Road

∫ Bloom Road, from U.S.-23 North to 0.54 miles east

∫ Nicholson Hill Road, from U.S.-23 South to Spruce Road,

∫ Spruce Road, from Nicholson Hill Road to Werth Road

∫ Pearl Road, from U.S.-23 to 300 feet east

∫ and Hawley Road, from M-32 to Kline Road

Presque Isle County also announced restrictions begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday except on all-season roads, but did not specify which roads are classified as all-season.

Alcona County’s weight restrictions begin at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
