A snowmobile-vehicle crash required an emergency rescue when a man was trapped under a truck on Sunday.

Deputies from the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Lost Lake Woods Club in Alcona Township after a snowmobile driven by Kenneth Arthurs, 53, of Macomb, swerved to avoid a truck driven by Tyler Cook, 18, of Herron, when the two vehicles met in a curve on a trail, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The snowmobile went onto a roadside snowbank, ejecting Arthurs, who was trapped under the truck driven by Cook.

Arthurs, once extracted, was sent to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
