A man approached several children on Wednesday as they waited for a school bus, offering them a ride to school, according to the Alpena Police Department. According to witnesses, a thin man with greying hair and a short beard, wearing all-black clothing, spoke to the children on 1st Avenue, near Hitchcock Street.
