ALPENA — Police have arrested a 37-year-old Alpena man suspected of approaching children at a bus stop on Wednesday morning, Alpena Public Schools said on Facebook.

The school district and employees at a local business assisted in the identification of the suspect.

The man is being held at the Alpena County Jail on charges of attempted accosting of a child, a two-year felony. The investigation is ongoing.
