Kiddos are excited for Christmas

News Photo by Julie Goldberg Wilson Elementary School students are excited for Christmas to arrive so they can open their presents from Santa Claus.

ALPENA — When you ask kids what they want for Christmas, the answer can be anything.

Local kids say that they want Nerf guns, video games, and technology, like phones or laptops.

Wilson Elementary School students know what they want for Christmas, with the holiday just two days away. The students hope Santa Claus will bring them what they ask for when they open their presents on Christmas morning.

Fourth-grader Keygan Guy and first-grader Tanner Goyette both wants Nerf guns.

“I want a lot of Nerf guns,” Guy said. “I have none. I want the Mega Blaster, because it holds big bullets.”

Guy said he also wants an XBOX One, with “Minecraft” and “Fortnite.” He also wants a computer.

To go with his Nerf guns, Goyette wants lots of Nerf bullets.

“I want my very own phone and toy dinosaurs,” Goyette said. “I also want my own TV in my room.”

Just like Goyette, fourth-grader Paige Meinzinger said she wants a TV for her bedroom, along with a laptop.

She also wants a husky for Christmas.

“I can’t remember anything else that I asked Santa,” Meinzinger said.

Kindergartner Malina Schram and second-grader Kayson LaCross both wants dolls for Christmas.

“I want Barbies,” LaCross said.

All the kids want Santa to bring them slime kits. Slime kits come in different varieties and let kids learn about science in a different way.

LaCross wants more nail polish and a phone from Santa, while Schram wants more books and clothes, because she loves clothes.

“I like nail polish,” LaCross said.
