A misheard Christmas carol
My Christmas story is not a family tradition, but it certainly is such a wonderful memory in our family.
My son Craig came home from kindergarten one day and said that they had learned a new song. It was a Christmas song from Germany.
He began to sing, “Oh, Tom and Bob, oh, Tom and Bob.”
Those are the names of his two uncles, my two brothers.
That’s the way he was hearing the words to “O Tannenbaum.”
