Weather service warns of visibility issues, slick roads
ALPENA — Motorists in Alpena, Montmorency and Presque Isle counties, especially those traveling along U.S.-23 from Alpena to Rogers City, should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities and slick roads, according to a special weather statement issued by the National Weather Service in Gaylord.
Although moderate snow will continue to fall across those counties, some “very localized heavy lake enhanced bands will impact parts of the area” and could result in up to 8 inches of snow, the Weather Service said.
