The National Weather Service out of Gaylord has issued a winter weather/lakeshore flooding advisory through tonight for Northern Michigan, including the counties of Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency and Presque Isle.

The NWS states “Snow accumulations of 4-6 inches are expected across higher elevations of interior northern lower through tonight, with lower amounts across the surrounding area…Ongoing snow could turn to rain/mix this afternoon before transitioning back to snow this evening…Strong winds will bring the threat of lakeshore flooding through tonight to many northern Michigan beaches.”
