ALPENA — A 40-year-old woman was arrested today after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash.

Sgt. William Gohl of the Alpena Police Department said the woman, whom police did not identify, was found on foot near the intersection of M-32 and Bagley Street on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., about two hours after police said she was involved in a hit-and-run crash at Ripley Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

A Chevy Colorado was hit at around 12:30 p.m. in the Alpena Car Care parking lot by a Dodge Ram the female was driving, police said. She fled the scene after the crash, Lt. Eric Hamp with Alpena Police Department said.

Hamp said the driver ran off the road toward 9th Avenue and then struck the Chevy, which was unoccupied, and pushed the vehicle partially into the intersection.
