The Michigan State Police have identified the 71-year-old Oscoda woman who died in a fatal crash on Hubbard Lake Road near Scott Drive on Saturday in Alcona Township.
Jane Lauber was riding in a Chevrolet Malibu driven by her husband, Benjamin, 86, when, police say, a 49-year-old Spruce man driving a Ford F-150 crossed the centerline and struck the malibu head-on.
Jane Lauber was pronounced dead at the scene. Benjamin Lauber and the driver of the Ford F-150 were transported to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
