Oct. 7

8:27 a.m.: An officer responded to a commercial burglar alarm in Albert Township, alarm company called back and advised us we could disregard.

12:27 p.m.: A Hillman Township resident contacted MCSO to report a female neighbor came into his yard and took his dog off its chain. An officer responded, the neighbor became hostile, the female was arrested for larceny. The dog was returned to its owner.

3:17 p.m.: A call came into MCSO dispatch referencing yelling and swearing in a nearby apartment in the Village of Hillman; deputies responded; the male subject on scene was arrested and lodged on a domestic violence charge.

6:10 p.m.: A call came into MCSO dispatch of a gas line struck digging on a property on Farrier RD. Hillman Fire/EMS and Presque Isle Electric & Gas responded, line was fixed and no injures were reported.

Oct. 8

1:51 p.m.: A report came into MCSO about a male driving a motorcycle on Montmorency St without a helmet on. MCSO Deputy responded and male was given a warning.

2:34 p.m.: A report of a house fire was called into MCSO Dispatch. Hillman Fire/EMS and Michigan State Police responded. No injuries were reported, and fire was contained.

3:57 p.m.: A report of a cabin broken into over the weekend. MCSO deputies responded and this is an ongoing investigation.

9:52 p.m.: Deputies responded to a domestic situation on Airport Rd in Avery Township. A 49-year-old female was taken into custody for domestic violence. She was lodged.

Oct. 9

2:13 p.m.: A trooper responded to a neighbor dispute on Marius St in Albert Township. All was found to be OK and the issue resolved.

Oct. 10

7:29 p.m.: MCSO received a call about 2 suspicious motorcycles on Kolar Rd in Montmorency Township. A deputy responded and checked the area. The motorcycles were gone upon arrival and the complaint was unfounded.

Oct. 11

1:13 p.m.: MCSO received a call of a dog tie in their yard that does not belong to them. MCSO deputy responded found a brown & white pit bull. Dog was transported to Elk County Animal Shelter.

2:54 p.m.: MCSO received a call about a 16-week-old boxer lost near Livingston St in Hillman.

2:56 p.m.: A report of an erratic driver on M 32 near Big Rock Church. No unit available to respond.

4:51 p.m.: MCSO received a call about some hunters shooting close to a residence in Briley Township. MCSO deputy responded, contacted hunters and no violations were committed.

6:57 p.m.: A report was made to MCSO that two pit mix dogs were picked up on Meridian Line Rd south of Old State Rd. Prior to deputies responding owners of the dogs contacted complainant and dogs were returned to the owner.

8:04 p.m.: Commercial fire alarm was reported to MCSO at Canada Creek Ranch Club House. Station 5 fire responded and was reported a false alarm.

8:18 p.m.: A dog was brought into MCSO lobby: mini Doberman Pincher mix found on Klein Rd nearest cross of Webber Creek. MCSO deputy took dog to Elk County Animal Shelter.

9:14 p.m.: Residential alarm was reported in Briley Township. MCSO Deputies responded and upon arrival found to be false alarm.

Oct. 12

8:19 a.m.: A tree was reported to be partially blocking the southbound lane on County Road 491 in Vienna Township, the Road Commission was notified, and they took care of the tree.

10:29 a.m.: An officer witnessed a 5-vehicle crash in downtown Atlanta at the M-32 and M-33 junctions, Tri Township EMS and Fire responded, 1 victim was transported to the hospital.

7:09 p.m.: A residential burglar alarm in Vienna Township was called in by an alarm company, officers responded and spoke with the homeowners. It was found to be a false alarm.

Oct. 13

12:54 a.m.: A commercial burglar alarm in Vienna Township was called in by an alarm company, officers responded to find the alarm, the owner met officers there and it was found to be a false alarm.

7:52 a.m.: A deputy responded to a deer/vehicle accident in Vienna Township, the deer had to be dispatched. Officer cleared without incident.

3:18 p.m.: MSP Troopers out of Alpena County came over and arrested a Hillman resident on an open warrant out of their jurisdiction.

5:28 p.m.: 911 call came into MCSO reporting a 1 vehicle accident County Rd 487 nearest cross Airport Rd in Atlanta. Michigan DNR and Station 2 Fire/EMS responded. 1 person was taken to the hospital.
