MSP seeks aid in solving theft case

The Michigan State Police-Alpena Post is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a theft that happened at about 3 p.m. Aug. 7 at the BP Station in Ossineke, according to a Crime Stoppers news release.

Police are seeking information about a man seen leaving the station in a dark-colored, late-model, four-door Chevrolet Colorado pickup with a cap over the bed who may have stolen a blue money bag with about $300 from a restroom at the gas station. Another man had accidentally left the bag in the restroom and the suspect, the next person to enter the restroom, was seen appearing to stuff something down his pants as he left.

Anyone with information is asked to call 800-422-JAIL. Callers can be anonymous and an up to $1,000 reward could be offered.
