Michigan State Police troopers and Alpena Township firefighters address the scene of a three-vehicle crash on M-32 in Alpena Thursday evening. A silver sedan heading west ran a light that had turned red, striking a gray sedan leaving the Walmart parking lot. A third vehicle, a white sports utility vehicle waiting to turn out of the Meijer lot, was struck in the collision and sustained minor damage. Both sedans received substantial front-end damage and needed to be towed. The passenger of one vehicle was transported to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena for possible head injuries. The incident was the second crash in two weeks at the intersection.
