July 1

9:24 a.m.: The report of a truck hauling lumber westbound on M-32 near Atlanta was losing some of the wood on M-32 causing a problem, officers responded but were unable to locate vehicle, MDOT was notified of the wood on the road causing road hazard.

9:30 a.m.: A MCSO deputy responded to a deer/vehicle collision in Briley Township; deer was dispatched, and officer cleared without incident.

10:34 a.m.: Officers responded to the report of a truck that had pulled down a power line on M-32 in Avery Township, the line was found to be a telephone line, it was fixed, and officers cleared the scene at 11:05.

11:10 a.m. The Montmorency County Road Commission was working on roads in the Green Acres Subdivision in Albert Township, emergency vehicles were able to be rerouted around construction if needed.

11:51 a.m.: An officer responded to a residence in Briley Township for the report of cows and horses loose in the road, upon the arrival of the officer there were multiple animals out of the enclosure and in the road, the owner of the animals was cited for animals at large and the officer cleared the scene without incident.

3:27 p.m.: A concerned subject in a parking lot at a business in Briley Township contacted MCSO regarding children left in a vehicle, the children were upset; an officer responded and spoke with the parent, officer cleared without incident.

3:39 p.m.: A 2 vehicle pd crash in Briley Township was reported, law enforcement, and Tri Township EMS responded, no injuries were reported, all units were clear the scene at 3:58.

6:46 p.m.: A report of an ATV accident on the ATV trail off County Rd 628 nearest cross of LaCrosse. MSCO deputies, Michigan DNR, Tri Township Fire/EMS and Hillman Fire responded. 1 male patient was taken to the hospital.

7:45 p.m.: Several reports of peacocks on County Rd 612 near Buttles Rd all MCSO deputies were on emergency calls unable to respond.

8:00 p.m.: Report of a single car accident on County Rd 489 nearest cross of Orchard. Lewiston Fire/EMS and MSCO office responded. 1 female was transported to hospital. All units clear 8:46 p.m.

9:57 p.m.: Albert Township resident reported of dog attacked on Big Antler Rd. RP reported that their dog was attacked by another dog. MCSO deputy responded and took in custody one dog. Ongoing investigation.

July 2

5:24 a.m.: Commercial alarm was activated in Albert Township. MCSO responded and all units were cancelled prior to arrival.

10:55 a.m.: Dispatch was notified of a commercial fire alarm on Pleasant Valley Rd in Hillman Township. Fire and Law enforcement was dispatched. MCSO contacted the homeowner and he advised that it was a false alarm. All units were advised to cancel.

12:15 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on M-32 traveling eastbound near Meridian Line Rd. All units were advised.

11:13 p.m.: MSCO deputies conducted a warrant arrest in Albert Township. One male was placed in custody without incident.

July 3

12:06 p.m.: MCSO received a call about wood debris that fell from a semi-trailer and hit the caller’s windshield. A deputy responded and took their information. No injuries were reported. All clear at 12:22 PM.

6:42 p.m.: Dispatch was notified of a possible attempted B&E. A deputy responded to investigate.

July 4

12:14 a.m.: MCSO received a firework complaint on East Twin Lake in Albert Township. The information was given to a deputy in the area.

4:23 p.m.: MCSO received a complaint about boats driving into the swimming area at Clear Lake. The DNR was advised and responded. All was found to be as it should be.

5:24 p.m.: A trooper initiated a routine traffic stop on M-32 near Rea Rd in Hillman Township. A 51-year-old female was taken into custody for no security. She was lodged.

5:54 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a dispute on Craig Dr in Albert Township. Deputies responded to investigate. A 56-year-old male was taken into custody for simple assault. He was lodged.

11:03 p.m.: 2 DNR officers initiated a traffic stop on Co Rd 612 near Cobb Rd in Albert Township. A 23-year-old male was taken into custody for OWI. He was lodged.

11:14 p.m.: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on M-33 N near Pettinger Rd in Briley Township. A 24-year-old female was taken into custody for a warrant w/ another jurisdiction. She was lodged.

11:52 p.m.: 2 DNR officers initiated a traffic stop on Co Rd 612 near the Sunrise Gas Station in Albert Township. A 26-year-old male was taken into custody for OWI. He was lodged.

July 5

9:37 a.m.: An Albert Township resident called to request an officer to go to a residence where there had been fireworks the night before, the subjects left all the debris from the fireworks in the road, an officer responded and spoke with home owner, they were advised they needed to clear up the mess.

1:32 p.m.: A report of a vehicle driving into the ditch in Briley Township was called in via 911; law enforcement, Tri Township Fire and EMS all responded, no injuries were reported, all units cleared without incident.

1:43 p.m.: An alarm company called in a panic hold up alarm at a business in Hillman, contact was made with the business; it was found to be a false alarm.

2:16 p.m.: A commercial burglar alarm at a business in Albert Township was investigated by a MCSO deputy, building was found to be empty, all was as it should be.

2:56 p.m.: Officers responded to a domestic dispute in Hillman Township; no injuries were reported; all units were clear at 3:30 without incident.

3:46 p.m.: The report of a 1 vehicle accident in Albert Township resulted in the transport of one subject to the hospital.

5:45 p.m.: A report of erratic driver on Pleasant Valley Rd was reported MCSO deputies responded. Vehicle was found parked in Atlanta, unable to locate driver.

5:56 p.m.: Albert Township resident reported a domestic disturbance, MCSO deputies responded, and no charges were filed.

6:43 p.m.: Female called to report that their party was stuck on a powerline with a full size pick up near Voyer Lake Rd & Elk Valley Trail. Michigan DNR and MCSO ORV patrol responded prior to arrival towing company found female, all units clear no injuries.

8:07 p.m.: Complaint called in about Peacocks in the road on M-32 near Buttles Rd. MCSO deputy responded Peacocks had left the area.

8:48 p.m.: In the lobby purse was found behind St Marks Church in Atlanta. MCSO deputy returned purse to owner.

10:36 p.m.: Albert Township resident reported that his neighbors were fighting over firework being shot off. No one was on scene per the caller, MCSO did not need to respond.

10:40 p.m.: Hillman Village resident reported fireworks being shot off, the resident was informed that this was legal until 11:45 p.m. until July 5.

10:45 p.m.: A elk/car accident was reported M-33 north of Clear Lake State Park. Michigan State Police, MCSO, Michigan DNR and Tri Township EMS responded. No one was transported to the hospital.

10:59 p.m.: Briley Township resident reported that fireworks being shot off in the township. The resident was advised that this was legal until 11:45 p.m. on July 5.

11:12 p.m.: Albert Township resident reported a suspicious person in his driveway, possibly having a medical issue. MCSO deputies and Lewiston EMS responded. After arrival a 2nd call from Albert Township resident reported their vehicle had been stolen. Male was driving stolen vehicle. One male was placed in custody on OWI & vehicle has been returned to owner. Ongoing investigation.

July 6

9:43 a.m.: A concerned citizen called in reference an elderly male driving on the side of the road eastbound on M-32, a deputy responded found the man to be confused, family was notified, and deputy drove subject home.

10:11 a.m. Multiple 911 calls came into the center regarding a male subject who had fallen on State St in Atlanta, the subject was found to have a medical issue, Tri Township EMS responded and transported the subject to OMH.

12:49 p.m.: Multiple 911 calls came in regarding subjects driving through Emerick Park in the Village of Hillman too fast, a deputy responded.

3:43 p.m.: An Avery Township resident called regarding an erratic driver; a deputy responded but vehicle was gone upon his arrival.

6:46 p.m.: An Albert Township resident reported that they have a beagle in custody that was running around Kneeland St. MCSO deputy responded and the dog was taken to Elk County Animal Shelter.

8:26 p.m.: Hillman Township resident reported dog at large near Lake Avalon. Dog was aggressive toward the neighbors. MSCO deputies responded ticket was given to owner of dog for dog at large.

8:50 p.m.: Noise complaint was logged for McComick Lake area.

10:12 p.m.: Noise complaint was logged for Hillman Township Pleasant Valley Rd.

10:12 p.m.: Noise complaint was logged for Lake Inez area.

10:15 p.m.: Noise complaint was logged for Lake Inez area.

10:12 p.m.: Complaint of ORVs riding without helmets and young children on the ORV was made. MCSO ORV Deputy responded and ORVs had left the area.

10:17 p.m.: Noise complaint fireworks on East Twin Lake was logged.

10:42 p.m.: Domestic situation at Northland Apartments in Atlanta, MCSO deputies responded. Parties were separated and all units cleared without incident.

10:44 p.m.: Noise complaint fireworks Cobb Rd area was logged.

10:46 p.m.: Noise complaint fireworks Carter Rd area was logged.

July 7

11:14 a.m.: DNR were on routine patrol, initiated a traffic stop in Montmorency Township, one of the subjects in the vehicle was found to have an out of county warrant, subject was lodged at MCSO for pickup by the other county.

3:37 p.m.: While on routine patrol, an officer initiated a traffic stop, the driver was found to be denied and revoked, the subject was lodged.

6:10 p.m.: Report of a car backing into another vehicle at the Dollar General in Lewiston. Michigan State Police responded no injuries reported.

6:50 p.m.: Report of a male in the ditch on M33 south. MCSO responded to find party trying to help an injured fawn. Michigan DNR responded, and the fawn was handled by DNR officer.

7:22 p.m.: Report of Peacock in the road on M32 near Buttles.

9:51 p.m.: Noise complaint on East Twin Lake fireworks.
