Workers remove debris early Thursday morning from several large trees that succumbed to Wednesday evening’s brief but strong storm. Winds blasting across Long Lake toppled trees in several locations north of Alpena, including these shown on Gutchess Road, flooding the north side station of the Alpena Township Fire Department with four calls for help in a span of 14 minutes.
