Charter Township of Alpena Clerk Michelle Palevich, left, and Dana Malcomson received certificates that show their election certification from the state. They took several online classes and other training and were certified in March, but the certificates just arrived. The two women are in charge of township elections and have established the absentee voting list to help voters receive their ballots early. Anyone wishing to be added to the list can contact the township’s clerks office.
