May 13

12:27 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a vehicle driving too fast up and down Third St in the Village of Hillman. A deputy checked the area for the vehicles described.

May 14

12:20 a.m.: A deputy initiated a routine traffic stop on M-32 near Reimann Rd in Briley Township. A 56-year-old male was taken into custody for OWI. He was lodged.

9:20 a.m.: A male was transported from the courthouse to MCSO jail to serve time.

11:46 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a neighbor dispute on M-32 in Briley Township. A deputy responded and advised it was a civil issue.

12:41 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a 2-vehicle accident on M-32 near Farrier Rd in Rust Township. Law enforcement, EMS, and Fire were dispatched. No injuries were reported.

10:01 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a verbal dispute on Big Buck Dr in Albert Township. Deputies responded to investigate. The parties were separated.

11:16 p.m.: Dispatch received a call about a noise complaint at the Timber Lodge Motel in Avery Township. Deputies responded to address the complaint.

May 15

12:01 p.m.: Dispatch received a call-in reference for a commercial fire alarm in Briley Township, Tri Township Fire and law enforcement responded, it was a false alarm and all cleared without incident.

2:43 p.m.: Dispatch received a call from the construction crew regarding a wide load, the vehicle was stopped and advised he needed to take a different route.

4:35 p.m.: Dispatch received a call from a concerned family member that lives out of town, they requested a welfare check on their family member because they hadn’t been able to get a hold of them, contact was made. Everything was as it should be, deputies cleared without incident.

4:41 p.m.: Deputies responded to a home in Briley Township at the request of the neighbor due to smoke coming from the yard. The residents were burning debris in a barrel, deputies cleared without incident.

5:46 p.m.: Hillman Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in Hillman Township; units responded; homeowner stated there was no fire.

6:39 p.m.: Deputies responded to a welfare check request in Albert Township, subject was found to be fine and advised to call their family member.

9:43 p.m.: An Albert Township resident contacted MCSO to report he had been assaulted at a business in Albert Township. Deputies responded and spoke with both parties; investigation is ongoing at this time.

9:43: Deputies met another jurisdiction to pick up a subject with a valid warrant out of Montmorency County, subject was transported to the jail and lodged.

May 16

1:51 a.m.: MCSO deputies responded to a suspicious situation in Briley Township, everything was found to be as it should, and officers cleared the scene without incident.

3:28 a.m.: Deputies responded to a Commercial Burglar alarm in Albert Township, business was found to be secure, all units cleared without incident.

1:06 p.m.: MCSO deputy responded to a 2 vehicle pd accident in the Village of Hillman, no injuries were reported.

3:49 p.m.: Tri Township fire, Atlanta DNR, and MCSO deputies responded to the report of black billowing smoke behind a residence in Briley Township, subjects were found to be burning on a no open debris burn day; homeowner was cited, and all units cleared without incident.

May 17

7:37 a.m.: A deputy transported a 35-year-old male to MCSO from Alpena County with a warrant. He was lodged.

9:32 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a 2-vehicle accident at the M-32/M-33 intersection in Briley Township. No injuries were reported, and a deputy responded to the scene.

6:10 p.m.: A 40-year-old female turned herself in to serve time. She was lodged.

7:08 p.m.: A deputy was approached by a construction worker about a vehicle traveling East on M-32 and driving erratically through the construction area in Briley Township. The deputy looked for the vehicle but was unable to locate said vehicle.

7:16 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a dispute on Doty St in Briley Township. Deputies responded and the issue was resolved. The parties were separated for the night.

May 18

12:02 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a verbal dispute on S Airport Rd in Briley Township. Deputies responded to investigate. The situation was resolved, and the parties were separated for the night.

1:15 p.m.: An 18-year-old female turned herself in on a warrant. She was lodged.

3:41 p.m.: A deputy took into custody a 33-year-old male with a warrant. He was lodged.

May 19

12:33 a.m.: A deputy initiated a routine traffic stop on Airport Rd near Co Rd 487 in Briley Township. A 57-year-old female was taken into custody for OWI.

8:18 a.m.: Deputies were dispatched to a verbal dispute at the Redwood Inn in Albert Township. A 22-year-old male was taken into custody for simple assault.

5:46 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a single vehicle slide off on Co Rd 491 near M-32 in Vienna Township. A deputy responded and no injuries were reported. A tow truck pulled the vehicle out.

5:50 p.m.: Deputies responded to a neighbor dispute on M-33 S in Avery Township. The parties were advised to stay away from each other and that the issue was civil.

6:28 p.m.: Dispatch was notified of a commercial burglar alarm at the Hillman EZ Mart in the Village of Hillman. One of the employees called MCSO to advise it was an accident and no response was needed. All responding units were advised.

7:34 p.m.: During a routine traffic stop, a deputy took into custody a 60-year-old Lewiston female for OWI and violating a restricted license.

10:58 p.m.: A deputy came across a tree down completely blocking Pleasant Valley Rd near Jonas Dr in Avery Township. The tree did fall on the power lines. Fire was dispatched and the electric company was notified.

May 20

4:47 a.m.: Dispatch was notified of a tree down across Jacks Landing Rd in Alpena County. The information was given to their dispatch and they advised the road commission would be called.
