At 7 p.m. May 15, Alpena First Assembly of God, 164 N. Ripley Boulevard, will host a special guest speaker from Romania, Marian Paduret, president of Association Valoare Plus, a Christian organization serving young people in Moldova.

Paduret will share his life story, which includes growing up in the former Soviet Union in Romania and demonstrating against the Soviet Union during the 1989 revolution. He will talk about accepting Jesus Christ as his savior in 1990, starting a church in the town of Tg-Ocna, Romania, and starting the Valoare Plus ministry in 2012.
