April 8
3:44 p.m.: Hillman township resident contacted MCSO regarding an ongoing dispute between him and his neighbor.
7:58 p.m.: A Loud Township resident contacted MCSO in regard to a possible B&E of a vacant residence, after deputies responded and investigated it was found that nothing was stolen.
April 9
3:25 p.m.: While investigating a different complaint a MCSO officer arrested a Hillman Township resident for an active warrant out of Alpena County, subject was lodged.
5:00 p.m.: A Rust Township resident reported an ongoing civil dispute with his neighbor.
9:57 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a commercial burglar alarm on Bourn St. in Albert Township. Deputies responded to investigate. The building was found to be secure.
April 10
3:18 p.m.: Dispatch was notified of a commercial burglar alarm on State St. in the Village of Hillman. The alarm company called back and advised it was a false alarm and law enforcement could cancel.
7:26 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a commercial burglar alarm on Salling Ave in Albert Township. While speaking with the alarm company, they were advised by the owner of the company that it was a false alarm and no response was needed.
11:11 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a suspicious male behind the laundry mat in the Village of Hillman. Deputies responded to investigate. A 34-year-old Atlanta male was taken into custody for breaking & entering and malicious destruction of property. He was lodged.
April 11
10:03 a.m.: Dispatch was notified of a vehicle in the ditch on M-32 just east of Camp 8 Rd. in Vienna Township. A wrecker was advised, and the vehicle was pulled out. No injuries were reported.
10:16 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a vehicle that had hit a tree on M-32 approximately half mile east of the junction. EMS was dispatched. No injuries to report. Tow truck was advised and sent to the scene.
1:16 p.m.: Dispatched was advised of a vehicle slide off on M32 near McCormick Lake road. No injuries to report. A wrecker was brought on scene and the vehicle was towed.
2:53 p.m.: Dispatch received a call about a single vehicle roll over on M-33 north near Jackson Lake Rd. in Briley township. Deputies, fire and EMS all responded, and no injuries were reported. A tow truck was called to retrieve the vehicle.
3:10 p.m.: Dispatch was notified of numerous alarms at the Hillman Community Financial Credit Union. Deputies responded and everything was found to be as it should be.
5:20 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a single vehicle roll over accident with 3 passengers on M-33 south near the M-32 in Avery Township. Deputies and EMS was dispatched. No injuries were reported.
7:18 p.m.: Dispatch was notified of a tree that had fallen on Dorothy Street in Albert township. The Montmorency road commission was advised and will be removing the tree.
April 12
5:03 a.m.: A passerby in Rust Township reported a vehicle in the ditch, didn’t appear to be anyone there, upon arrival vehicle was no longer on scene.
7:45 a.m.: A passerby reported a vehicle in the ditch in Briley Township, the driver then called 911; no injury, subject just needed a tow truck, law enforcement responded; along with Tri Township EMS as a precaution.
11:33 a.m.: A welfare check was requested on a Montmorency Township resident, subject as found to be fine, officers cleared without incident.
1:09 p.m.: A driver on M-32 headed west bound made dispatch aware of a possible erratic driver. An officer responded and was unable to locate the vehicle.
4:18 p.m.: Dispatch received a report of a tree down on Big Antler Rd in Albert Township. The Montmorency Road Commission was contacted to remove it.
7:52 p.m.: An officer investigated a hit and run at the Redwood Steak House in Albert Township. A 17 year old male from Atlanta admitted he had hit the other vehicle.
April 13
1:56 a.m.: During a traffic stop on County Rd. 487 in Briley Township a 48-year-old male was arrested for operating while intoxicated. He was lodged.
6:05 a.m.: MCSO deputies transported a subject from another jurisdiction to be lodged on 3 warrants out of the county.
10:55 a.m.: A manager of a Hillman business called regarding a disturbance, subjects were no longer in the area when caller called, dispatch contacted adjoining counties to advise them of the situation.
12:26 p.m.: A Briley Township resident called regarding a residence near his that he was concerned had been broken into; a MCSO deputy responded and found the residence secure and everything as it should be.
2:02 p.m.: An alarm company called in a commercial burglar alarm in the Village of Hillman; everything was found to be as it should and key holder was on scene, officers cleared without incident.
2:41 p.m.: An Albert Township resident called regarding his neighbors dog that is consistently in his yard; a deputy responded and owner of dog was given a warning for dog at large and advised a citation would be issued if dog was found to be loose in the future.
2:48 p.m.: A downstate resident contact MCSO to request a welfare check on her family member that lives in Briley Township, an MSP Trooper responded and found the family member to be fine, the caller was advised.
April 14
10:55 a.m.: Hillman fire responded to a gas line that a homeowner in Hillman Township ruptured; PIE&G also responded. Station 3 fire department cleared scene without incident.
2:15 p.m.: A MCSO deputy along with an MSP Trooper out of Gaylord responded along with Albert Township Fire and EMS to a 2 vehicle pd crash on Meridian Line Rd, no injuries were reported, one of the drivers was cited for the collision.
6:20 p.m.: Dispatch received a report of a semi-truck unable to make it up the hill on M-32 near Co Rd 491 due to slippery roads. MDOT was contacted.
April 15
1:19 a.m.: While on patrol a deputy came upon an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on M-32 with foot tracks leading down Baker Rd. A vehicle was traveling on Baker Rd. and drove past the deputy without stopping. A traffic stop was initiated and a 45-year-old male from Hillman was arrested for operating while intoxicated and a 57-year-old female was also arrested for operating while intoxicated after admitting she was the driver of the vehicle in the ditch. Both subjects were lodged.
