Mango’s Tequila Bar opened for business Dec. 21. Many patrons enjoyed the warm ambience of the upscale Mexican restaurant at lunchtime on Friday. Pictured behind the bar are owners Lucy Garcia and Arturo Mendez, who are husband and wife, and one of their employees. The couple also owns Mango’s in Thunder Bay Shopping Center near Neiman’s Family Market. That restaurant is now closed for renovations, but will reopen in the coming months as Mango’s Express, offering “grab and go” lunch options. The couple also owns Mango’s Mexican Cuisine in Tawas. Mango’s Tequila Bar is located at 121 W. Chisholm St. in Alpena, and is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
