Skibbe enters Drug Court in plea deal
Nathan Skibbe
ALPENA –Alpena Township Supervisor Nathan Skibbe accepted a plea deal and was accepted into Alpena County Drug Court on Thursday, which could help him avoid jail time for a drunk-driving arrest on Sept. 23.
Skibbe pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while impaired-second offense, a misdemeanor. The deal was accepted by 88th District Court Judge Thomas LaCross, who said Skibbe must successfully graduate from Drug Court, or he could face as much as one year in jail.
This was the third drunk-driving incident Skibbe has been involved in, as he was also arrested in Alpena County in 2003 and Crawford County in 2008.
