The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan will host a workshop titled “Better Stories by Design: Crafting Narratives that Stick” from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 2 at the Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Libary, 211 N. First Ave.

The workshop, part of the foundation’s Regional Nonprofit Leaders Series, costs $20 per person. Pre-registration is required and can be had by visiting huronpines.org/events/#better or calling 989-448-2293.

At the event, facilitator Mark VanderKlipp will help attendees learn how storytelling can “educate, entertain and inspire others,” according to a news release from the foundation.
