Saturday afternoon, Jennifer Ayala from Ann Arbor and volunteer for NASA/ Solar Ambassador, spoke about why Mars is so fascinating. Every two years NASA sends up a rover. The last two rovers, Opportunity and Spirit, have lasted much longer than previously thought. Spirit had a lifespan of 30 days and it has lasted six years, while Opportunity has lasted 14 years and is currently climbing down a large crater.
