HARRISVILLE –Negwegon State Park is hosting a “selfie scavenger hunt” from 2-3 p.m. on July 26. Participants will walk one mile on the Negwegon trail while searching for natural species along the way and taking selfies with their findings.
Those who want to participate can meet at the day-use parking lot and need to bring their own smart device for selfies. Each car must have a valid recreation passport to enter the park.
The event may be cancelled if there is severe weather. Call 989-724-5126 with any questions.
Negwegon State Park is a wooded piece of land that offers hiking, undeveloped beaches, hunting, and hike-in camping from April 1 to Nov. 30. There are four backcountry campsites available with pre-registration. The seasonal roads leading to the park are sandy and a four-wheel drive vehicle is often needed to access the park.
