Left to right, Bella Standen, Ella Standen and Mia Standen dig through a pile of backpacks to find the right one to use when school begins Monday. The backpacks and school supplies were available at the Salvation Army’s annual back-to-school event Wednesday. The event continues today. Last year 170 families were served during the event and it is expect more than 200 will this year. The school supplies were donated to Salvation Army or purchased from cash donations.
