LEO HOPPE
Leo Hoppe, 78, of East Jordan and formerly of Alpena, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Haven Crest A.F.C. in East Jordan.
Leo was born April 23, 1936, in Alpena to the late Edward and Stella (Zakshesky) Hoppe.
Surviving are two daughters, Lydia Schenk of Cheboygan, Amy (Ron) Watson of Gaylord; two sons, Matthew (Mary) Hoppe of Allenton, David Hoppe of Traverse City; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Mallory, Mitch, Samantha, Alex, Amanda, Emma; three brothers, Mark (Jane) Hoppe, Stan Hoppe, Daniel (Sandy) Hoppe; and two sisters, Margaret Fox, and Rose (George) McCollister.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Edward Hoppe, Gregory Hoppe, Walter Hoppe; and three sisters, Madeline Hoppe, Gertrude Grenkowicz, and Iris Hoppe.
Memorial visitation for Mr. Hoppe will be held at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the memorial service at 10 a.m. with Rev. Richard Schaeffer officiating.
