ALPENA — According to the City of Alpena, due to the amount of snow ahead of the ice storm and also anticipated overnight, the City of Alpena is asking the public to keep storm debris on their property and please do not place it on the curbs.
The release stated that the City Department of Public Works (DPW) staff were still working to remove storm debris from roadways on Monday. In addition, available space at the DPW facility that would normally be used for brush storage is currently used to house large snow piles.
The City of Alpena will announce a plan for brush pick up once immediate effects of the ice storm and anticipated inclement weather have subsided.
