Tigers drop overtime heartbreaker to Rogers City
ROGERS CITY — The Hillman Varsity Tigers girls’ basketball team loses to Rogers City Hurons, despite battling for a 44-44 tie.
The Tigers could not hold off the Hurons in overtime, eventually falling 54-46. Foul trouble and heavy Huron pressure proved to be the difference in the extra four minutes of play.
Leading the Tigers was Maci Klein with 16 points, three steals, and two rebounds. Madelyn Oswald contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and two assists. Jenna Bahrke, Kendall Gruschke, and Abigail Oswald each gained five points each.
The Tigers (4-9 overall, 1-6 NSL) look to bounce back as they continue their road stretch this week with matchups in Tawas and Fairview.
