Jan. 12

5:45 AM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken.

Jan. 14

11:40 AM A female subject was taken into custody at the courthouse on a MCSO warrant; she was transported to Alpena County Jail and lodged.

2:26 PM An Albert Township resident called to report a male subject that was on her property and requested an officer speak with the man and advise him to stay off her property. An MSP Trooper responded to the residence and spoke with the male and advised him he was trespassed from the property.

3:24 PM An ongoing civil dispute in Albert Township was reported separately by all parties involved.

Jan. 15

3:11 AM A driver was stranded on the side of the roadway in Albert Township after running out of gas. A deputy responded and brought a gas can, giving the driver enough fuel to make it to the gas station. The deputy cleared after ensuring the driver made it to the station safely.

1:33 PM A welfare check was requested on a resident of Briley Township. Deputies responded to the residence, spoke with the subject and she was fine.

5:52 PM A welfare check was requested on a resident in Briley Township. Deputies responded to the residence and separated two parties that were involved in a dispute. The female was escorted out of the residence.

7:50 PM A witness reported a vehicle that had fled the scene after hitting a light post in the Village of Hillman. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and driver shortly after.

9:06 PM Deputies responded to a public building after EPS Security advised dispatch of a burglary alarm. The front door was not secure when deputies arrived so they made entry. There were no signs of anybody being inside of the building and the deputies cleared after securing the door.

Jan. 16

3:00 PM Deputies were dispatched to the Thunder Bay Deli for an altercation taking place between 2 male subjects. Deputies arrived and separated the subjects. Upon running the subjects through dispatch one of the subjects had a warrant out of Oscoda County. The 44 year old male from Atlanta was taken into custody and transported to the county line to meet an Oscoda deputy.

6:38 PM Hillman Fire & EMS, Tri Township Fire and deputies responded to a structure fire on Veterans Memorial Hwy. No one was injured and all units cleared at 9:31 PM.

10:33 PM A deputy responded to a hit and run accident on County Rd 491 at the intersection of Montmorency St. No one was injured. A newer black F150 driven by a female left the scene. A picture of the license plate was taken as she was driving away. The complaint is still under investigation.

Jan. 17

5:52 PM A deputy was requested for a welfare check on dog chained up outside on Gerber Rd. When the deputy arrived, the dog was already being taken inside.

Jan. 18

8:46 AM A MSP trooper responded to a dispute over a vehicle at the Loud Township Hall. After talking with the subjects, the female took the vehicle and the male waited to be picked up.

7:06 PM Dispatch received a complaint of a vehicle vs deer accident on M-32 in Rust Township. A report was taken.
