Dec. 22
10:36 a.m. A passerby called 911 to report a two-vehicle crash in Vienna Township. No injuries were reported, deputies responded to the scene to take the report.
11:33 a.m. A two vehicle crash was reported in the Village of Hillman. No injuries were reported. A deputy responded to take the report.
12:04 p.m. A concerned citizen called to report an injured deer on a lake in Hillman Township; a deputy and DNR CO responded to the scene to dispatch the deer.
2:04 p.m. A subject called to report that he was picking up a friend at the apartments in the Village of Hillman and when he came back outside a male subject was in his vehicle, nothing was taken and the male subject left when he saw the owner of the vehicle. Investigation is ongoing at this time.
2:30 p.m. A two vehicle crash was reported in Briley Township. No injuries were reported. A deputy responded to take the report.
3:15 p.m. MCSO deputies assisted an MSP Trooper with a warrant arrest in Hillman Township. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Alpena County Jail to be lodged.
6:28 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to a roadway in Avery Township to dispatch a deer. The deer was located, dispatched, and removed from the road.
Dec. 23
8:51 a.m. A resident of Avery Township called and requested we trespass an individual from his property. A deputy contacted said individual and he was formally trespassed from the property.
10:34 a.m. A seasonal resident of Albert township called to report he saw a subject on his camera’s and requested an officer go check on the property. A deputy responded to the residence, the residence was found to be secure. There were utility workers in the area.
11:18 p.m. A resident in Albert Township requested to make a noise complaint for dogs barking. The owner of the dogs was contacted and the dogs were brought inside.
Dec. 24
6:31 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.
Dec. 25
9:25 a.m. A deputy responded to a welfare check at a Hillman residence; the deputy spoke with the subject and found they were experiencing phone troubles.
7:14 p.m. Albert Township Fire Department responded to an apparent house fire in Lewiston. After arriving on scene the fire department found it to be a large brush fire and stayed on scene to confirm the fire was contained and safe.
Dec. 26
8:08 a.m. A tractor trailer was stuck on an icy hill in Vienna Township. A MCSO deputy responded to the scene for the safety of other drivers until the truck was removed from the hill.
9:15 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in the Village of Hillman. A report was taken.
8:55 p.m. A loose dog was reported in the Village of Hillman. The owner was contacted to bring the dog inside and was warned of a dog at large ticket.
Dec. 27
4:17 p.m. An elderly female was reported missing by her granddaughter. The female was entered as a missing person but was later found by a deputy at her residence, she was down state and had misplaced her phone. The family was contacted and advised.
8:25 p.m. An employee at a business in Briley Township called 911 to report a female inside of the building refusing to leave after screaming at her. A deputy responded and gave the female a warning, she left the property.
9:30 p.m. A physical altercation was reported in the Village of Hillman, the reporting person stating there were 12-14 people involved. While officers were en route, one male subject came back to the building. Two suspects were identified and trespassed from the business the altercation occurred at.
Dec. 28
4:42 a.m. A subject reported a fully engulfed house fire in Hillman Township. MCSO deputies, the Hillman Fire Department, and Hillman EMS all responded to the scene. Tri Township Fire was requested for manpower. The firemen were able to put the fire out and the homeowner was contacted
8:32 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.
