The City of Alpena is reminding residents that it no longer offers curbside Christmas tree pickup for residents. However, Alpena residents can drop off their Christmas trees at the Public Works Service Center, located at 1001 Long Lake Avenue, beginning today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. People are asked to remove all metal hooks, ornaments, stands, nails, and plastic bags from the tree.
