Bergman helps secure local funding
Jack Bergman
WASHINGTON DC – Representative Bergman secured more than $5.8 million for six community projects, including three in Northeast Michigan to upgrade and support essential community facilities.
Bergman announced he helped secure funds to use for the Alpena Community
College’s Natural Resources and STEM Innovation Center and for a new aerial fire truck for the City of Alpena.
The Hubbard Lake Community Center/Library also received funding.
The funding is through the Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act.
Community project funding allows Members of Congress to directly advocate for high-priority projects identified by local governments, ensuring federal dollars are targeted to the most pressing needs at the community level.
“These investments help relieve pressure on local taxpayers while ensuring our communities have the infrastructure they need to thrive,” Bergman said. “I will continue working with local leaders to advocate for responsible federal support that delivers measurable value back home.”
