Alpena – The Salvation Army’s Major Prezza Morrison, fourth annual Honorary Red Kettle Chairperson Mayor Cindy Johnson, and the advisory board wish to invite people to the annual Kettle Kickoff event at Culligan Plaza Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m. There will be a short program, a presentation of funds, sharing of the 2025 Christmas Goal, and refreshment following the event.
People can volunteer to ring by registering at registertoring.com and choose a location, date, and time they wish to ring.
Please can also call Major Prezza at (989)766-3224 for more information.
The funds collected through the Red Kettle fundraising are used locally and the goal for this year will be announced at the kickoff event.
Funds towards the goal are collected from the red kettles, mail appeal, and funds dropped off at The Salvation Army office at 722 N. Second Ave. in Alpena. The Salvation Army’s hours are Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Salvation Army thanks the community of Alpena County for their continued support.
“During this time, we need the community to help us give hope to those who are struggling. Knowing that Alpena cares for their neighbor makes this time so much easier”, Major Prezza said. “We would not be able to serve the numbers we serve without the generosity of our neighbors. Your care is shown in your giving, and we are very grateful.”
Monetary donations accepted via mail or in person at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center at 722 N. Second Ave Alpena, MI 49707. Online at www.salmich.org/alpena or via telephone, Major Prezza Morrison, (989) 358-2769 Ext. 6513.
