On Friday, Oct. 17, Lake State Railway Company and their contractor will begin replacing the rails at the crossing on Woodward Avenue.

The City of Alpena will close Woodward Avenue through traffic at this location. They will place barricades at this location to guide traffic. This project is expected to last two days unless weather or construction delays occur.

Huron Humane Society will remain open. Individuals can access properties north of the railroad tracks by taking Hamilton Road.
