Sept. 22

12:06 a.m. A passerby came across a vehicle wedged between two trees with a single male occupant. Tri Township EMS and MCSO deputies responded to the scene promptly. The driver was found to be okay and experienced issues with his brakes. M&D Towing assisted with the removal of the vehicle.

12:27 a.m. A deputy responded to a residence in Rust Township after dispatch received an abandoned 911 call. Dispatch called and sent a text to the phone number without a response. On scene, the deputy was unable to locate anybody or the source of the call.

11:35 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Albert Township; a report was taken.

Sept. 23

3:26 p.m. Two dogs were found in Hillman Township; the owner was contacted and picked the dogs up.

Sept. 24

10:28 a.m. An erratic driver was reported in Vienna Township; a deputy located the described vehicle in the driveway it was registered to.

11:47 a.m. A report of an abandoned vehicle parked on the side of the road in the Village of Hillman was investigated. The owner of the vehicle was found and they advised they would be towing it home.

12:12 p.m. A report of a white Chevy truck tearing up the road in the Twin Dams Sub. was made. The deputies were advised.

12:18 p.m. A business in Albert Township called to report they had a female subject that had shop lifted items from the store in their office. A deputy responded to the scene and took the report.

1:39 p.m. A family member requested a welfare check on a subject in Hillman Township. Deputies responded to the residence, they spoke with the subject and she was found to be fine.

7:24 p.m. An MSP Trooper made a traffic stop in Albert Township for a vehicle with no plate. The driver was issued a court date for a citation.

Sept. 25

9:04 a.m. A resident of Albert Township called to report her truck stolen. Investigation ongoing at this time.

10:06 a.m. A report of a truck hauling a trailer full of scrap with scrap sticking out of the trailer into oncoming traffic was made; a deputy responded to the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

5:53 p.m. While responding to a separate call, a deputy was flagged down by a female in the Village of Hillman to report two stolen bikes. The deputy went back to speak to the female after clearing the previous complaint.

Sept. 26

11:12 a.m. Dispatch received a message from Alpena County that they had arrested a subject with warrants out of Montmorency County, the subject was lodged in Alpena County Jail.

10:10 p.m. a vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; a report was taken.

10:59 p.m. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject with a flat tire in Briley Township; the deputy took the subject back to her residence so she could have the vehicle removed in the morning.

Sept. 27

12:06 a.m. Deputies responded to a residence in Avery Township for reports of a possible breaking and entering. Upon arrival the deputies found the home to be secure and no signs of forced entry.

1:52 p.m. A subject came into the lobby with keys they had found on the ground in Atlanta.

9:38 p.m. Two dogs were reported in the middle of the roadway in Avery Township. A deputy responded but was not able to locate the dogs.

8:04 p.m. A MCSO deputy and MSP trooper responded to reports of a vehicle drive off in Vienna Township; after investigating the scene the driver was put in custody and lodged at Alpena County Jail for OWI.

Sept. 28

12:53 a.m. A deputy responded to a residence in Briley Township for a noise complaint; the deputy soon cleared the residence after having the party turn the music down.

7:46 p.m. Dispatch received a barking dog complaint and to have a deputy talk with the owner; dispatch was able to contact the owner and have the dog taken care of.

11:14 p.m. Tri-township fire department was requested by Presque Isle County for mutual aid in finding two lost kayakers. After a while on scene the fire department was able to help locate the kayakers and they were found to be okay with no physical harm.
