The annual Haunted Museum attraction at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center scheduled for Friday has been cancelled. The event typically runs parallel to Trunk-or-Treat and trick-or-treating in downtown Alpena, but staff was forced to cancel it because of the ongoing government shutdown. The Heritage Center is closed until the shutdown is resolved.
