The fish cleaning station at the Alpena marina will be closing at 9 a.m. on Nov. 3, for the remainder of the season. The City of Alpena will be performing a deep cleaning of the entire building and cleaning system and removing the grinders to perform maintenance and re-sharpening.

At this time, water will also be shut off to the rest of the Alpena Marina.

This maintenance is necessary for continued safe and long-term operation of the Fish Cleaning Station; and will also prevent having to open the station late in the season next year.

The final day for fuel at the Alpena Marina is Thursday.The Class-B operator for the marina will be performing a system check and shutdown of the fuel pumps beginning 9 a.m. Friday.
