ALPENA — The City of Alpena will be completing the work on Ripley Boulevard, between Washington Avenue and the railroad tracks, from the previous resurfacing project.

The contractor will be on site today to adjust the manhole structures. This section of road will be closed for the duration of this work. When the street is reopened, metal plates will be present on the street to protect the work that has been completed.

Signage and barricades will be present to guide traffic around the closure, but motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

This resurfacing work is expected to be completed in two days unless weather or construction delays occur.
