Sept. 1

2:31 p.m. An MSP Trooper arrested a female subject on two Montmorency County Warrants in an adjoining jurisdiction. The subject was transported and lodged in the Alpena County Jail.

4:30 p.m. The Albert Township Fire Department was requested for a fire that had gotten out of control, they responded to the residence and put the fire out prior to any other damage.

5:46 p.m. A welfare check was requested by an adjoining agency on a subject that lives in Montmorency County. The subject was found to be fine.

8:14 p.m. A resident of Briley Township called to report multiple male subjects fishing in the river and on his property. Deputies responded to speak with all parties involved and explain the property lines.

9:34 p.m. An possibly intoxicated driver was reported in Briley Township. A traffic stop was initiated on the subject and he was not found to be intoxicated.

9:40 p.m. A resident of Medilodge of Hillman was reported missing. Deputies, MSP Troopers and the Hillman Fire Department all responded. The subject was located approximately an hour later, he was found to be fine.

Sept. 2

6:42 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.

4:41 p.m. Dispatch received an automated 911 stating the owner of a watch had fallen. Deputies responded to the residence and found the subject to be fine.

9:20 p.m. A domestic dispute was reported in Albert Township. Upon law enforcement arrival, the parties were separated with the male half was gone. MSP troopers spoke with the female and cleared without incident.

Sept. 3

1:14 a.m. A resident in Hillman Township witnessed a lightning strike and then lost power with the smell of smoke. Hillman Fire Department responded to the residence but were unable to locate the origin of the sulfur-like smell.

7:02 p.m. An MSP Trooper responded to a report of a commercial burglar alarm in Albert Township; once on scene the trooper spoke with the key holder and found the door to be left open when closing for the day.

9:55 p.m. Deputies and a trooper responded to reports of yelling coming from an Albert Township residence. Once on scene, law enforcement was able to separate the two parties. The male half was arrested and lodged at ACJ for aggravated assault.

10:01 p.m. A trooper conducted a traffic stop in Loud Township. After an investigation, 1 male was arrested for OWI and transported to ACJ.

Sept. 4

8:31 p.m. A trooper made a traffic stop in Briley Township; the driver was cited for driving with a suspended license.

8:58 p.m. A deputy and MSP trooper responded to reports of a vehicle that drove into the ditch in Briley Township; the driver had an active warrant out of Montmorency County and was arrested on the charges as well as cited for driving with a suspended license.

8:59 p.m. A deputy responded to a domestic dispute in Avery Township; the deputy later followed up and one subject was arrested for aggravated assault.

9:45 p.m. Deputies and a trooper responded to reports of a domestic assault in Vienna Township; on scene law enforcement assessed the victim and the report is still under investigation.

Sept. 5

8:00 a.m. MCSO officer transported one to and from Alpena County Jail for court.

11:07 a.m. MCSO deputies, DNR CO, Tri Township EMS, Vienna Fire and Albert Township Fire Departments all responded to a female that had been walking down Gamble Rd. and stepped too close to the edge of the ravine and fell in. The patient was extricated out and transported to the hospital for her injuries.

11:08 a.m. A female subject in Avery Township called to request deputies for a male subject that was at her residence and wouldn’t leave. Deputies responded and escorted the subject from the property, he was issued a trespass warning.

6:12 p.m. A female subject in Avery Township reported a male trespassing at her residence, the male currently being at the front door. Deputies responded to the residence and located the male who was arrested for trespassing and home invasion 3rd degree. The male was transported to be lodged at ACJ and M&D Towing assisted with the removal of the vehicle from the property.

Sept. 6

2:27 a.m. Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Avery Township. The male half was withholding the female’s belongings and refusing to let her leave the residence. The two were separated for the night and the female was given all of her belongings.

11:55 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Hillman Township; a report was taken.

4:01 p.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.

Sept. 7

9:02 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Avery Township; a report was taken.

6:24 p.m. A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Avery Township. The driver of the vehicle had a revoked driver’s license and the vehicle did not have insurance. The male was issued a citation and court appearance while the owner of the vehicle arranged for the vehicle to be towed.
