Sept. 8

8:49 AM A deputy responded to a residence in Albert Township for a house check, the deputy found the house to be locked up and unoccupied.

11:57 AM A deputy picked up a stray dog in Briley Township and returned it to the owner.

3:21 PM A deputy responded to a report of an injured deer in Albert Township; the deputy dispatched the deer and cleared the scene.

3:29 PM A vehicle deer accident was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken.

Sept. 9

7:31 AM A vehicle deer accident was reported in Albert Township; a report was taken.

9:03 AM A deputy responded to a residential burglar alarm in Albert Township; once on scene the deputy found the residence to be secure and shortly cleared.

2:58 PM Deputies responded to a silent panic alarm at a Briley Township business, once on scene the deputies found it to be an accidental push.

4:05 PM Dispatch received a message from Alpena County, they had a subject with an active warrant out of Montmorency County in custody; the subject was lodged at Alpena County Jail on the warrant.

8:02 PM A vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; a report was taken.

Sept. 10

4:01 PM A motorhome engulfed in flames was reported in Vienna Township. Vienna and Tri Township Fire Departments responded along with MCSO deputies. The fire was extinguished and the motorhome was towed.

5:35 PM A two-vehicle crash was reported in Avery Township. MCSO deputies and Tri Township Fire/EMS responded to the scene. 2 individuals were transported to the hospital.

8:18 PM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.

10:28 PM Deputies responded to a residence in Albert Township after a reported assault. The assault was found to have happened in Oscoda County. Deputies in Oscoda County were notified and they arrested one male for domestic assault.

10:52 PM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken.

Sept. 11

4:55 PM A report of a residence filling with smoke was made to dispatch. When deputies got on scene, flames were seen inside of the structure. Tri Township Fire/EMS, Vienna Township Fire, Canada Creek Fire, and Hillman Fire Departments all responded to the scene.

8:02 PM A deputy came across a vehicle parked in the roadway in Briley Township. The driver of the vehicle had a warrant out of MCSO. One male was lodged at ACJ.

8:06 PM A 3rd party reported a dispute in the Village of Hillman. When deputies got on scene, it was found to be a verbal argument. Both parties were separated for the night.

Sept. 12

11:15 AM A vehicle deer accident was reported in Loud Township; a report was taken.

4:19 PM Elk Country Animal Shelter reported two dogs were brought into the shelter.

11:38 PM A vehicle deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.

Sept. 13

12:17 PM Deputies responded to reports of a verbal dispute in Hillman, once on scene the deputies spoke with the two parties and they separated for the night.

5:56 PM Deputies responded to a complaint in Briley Township about a subject riding a moped in an improper fashion. The deputy cleared the scene after speaking with the riders and advised them of the correct safety measures.

Sept. 14

6:56 AM A subject came into the lobby to report a vehicle deer accident they had gotten into in Briley Township; a report was taken.

4:55 PM An MSP trooper accompanied by MCSO deputies responded to a residence in Briley Township for a trespass complaint. Once speaking with both parties, the trooper conducted a search and the subject was put in custody and lodged at Alpena County Jail for possession of methamphetamine.

7:00 Dispatch received a complaint of a lost shih tzu in the Lewiston area; the complaint was logged.
