Aug. 25

6:23 a.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken.

2:12 p.m. A residential burglar alarm was reported in Albert Township; a deputy responded and found an animal was inside the residence that had tripped the alarm.

6:56 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.

Aug. 26

12:47 p.m. A deputy responded to a residence in Hillman Township on a welfare check, the deputy arrived on scene and found the animals that were of concern were okay.

1:43 p.m. A missing dog was reported in Albert Township.

6:42 p.m. Deputies responded to a Hillman Township business for a complaint of a subject using a counterfeit bill. This complaint is still under investigation.

Aug. 27

3:19 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a resident of Loud Township. An officer responded to the residence, and the subject was found to be fine.

4:33 p.m. While on routine patrol an officer came upon a subject laying on the side of the road, the officer spoke with the subject and she stated she was fine, just having a bad day.

Aug. 28

7:31 a.m. A company that is doing some work in Montmorency Township called to report items that had been stolen during the night. A deputy responded to the work site and will be checking the cameras that were at the site. Investigation is ongoing at this time.

9:57 a.m. A resident of Hillman Township called to express her concerns about the blight problem in the Twin Dams Subdivision. Contact was made with the Hillman Township Zoning/Blight officer and he is working on getting the blight cleaned up.

Aug. 29

9:40 a.m. A lost wallet was brought into the lobby and the owner was contacted to pick up their belongings.

8:25 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a deputy arrived on scene and took a report.

Aug. 30

11:20 p.m. A deputy responded to a Hillman Township residence for reports of an illegal burn. The deputy had the subjects put the fire out before clearing.

Aug. 31

4:27 p.m. A DNR officer made a traffic stop in Albert Township; the officer conducted sobrieties and arrested and lodged the subject at Alpena County Jail for OWI.

6:19 p.m. A deputy responded to a report of a sick and injured animal in Albert Township; the deputy cleared the scene after dispatching the animal.

7:37 p.m. A subject in Loud Township reported they had driven off the road after swerving to miss a deer; a report was taken and the vehicle was removed from the ditch.

9:11 p.m. A DNR officer made a traffic stop in Albert Township; the officer conducted sobrieties and arrested and lodged the subject at Alpena County Jail for OWI.

11:26 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in Albert Township; after speaking with the driver they conducted sobrieties and arrested the subject for OUID and was lodged at Alpena County Jail.
