Kimberly Schultz honored as Michigan Works! Association Shining Star

Kimberly Schultz, Business Services Assistant at Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium, has been recognized with a Shining Star Award by the Michigan Works! Association for her outstanding contributions to workforce development.

The Shining Star awards honor frontline staff who go above and beyond to support Michigan job seekers and employers.

Schultz is considered the silent backbone of the agency, known for her deep knowledge of programs, attention to detail, and willingness to assist with any task, a Michigan Works! press release stated. She plays a vital role in the success of initiatives like the Going PRO Talent Fund and on-the-job training programs. Her behind-the-scenes work keeps the agency running smoothly and her contributions are invaluable to the team.

“Kim truly embodies the best of Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium,” said Jessica Topp, CEO of Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium. “From creating the detailed systems and reports that keep us running smoothly to supporting her colleagues whenever needed, she does it all with skill, kindness, and dedication. This award reflects the tremendous impact she’s had on our team and organization.”

The award was presented during the Michigan Works! Association’s annual conference in Kalamazoo.
